[:ID]Minuman boba kekinian saat ini tengah menjamur. Di samping rasanya enak, variannya juga banyak. Tapi waspadalah, minuman boba sejatinya mengandung tinggi gula.

“Minuman seperti itu memang satu cup bisa sampai 200 kalori dan gulanya tinggi,” ujar Kepala Bidang Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Penyakit, Dinas Kesehatan DKI Jakarta, dr Dwi Oktavia Handayani MEpid usai acara peluncuran kampanye “Deteksi Dini dan Batasi Gula Garam Lemak untuk Cegah Diabetes” yang diselenggarakan Nutrifood berkolaborasi dengan Sumber Alfaria Trijaya di Jakarta, belum lama ini.

Konsumsi gula dalam sehari memang harus dibatasi. Porsi sehatnya tidak ada patokan, namun prinsipnya konsumsi gula tidak lebih dari empat sendok makan dalam 24 jam.

“Sebaiknya Anda mengurangi kadar gula dengan minta less sugar sehingga porsi gula tidak sebanyak standarnya. Ada juga yang memakai pemanis buatan,” kata Dwi.

Minuman boba bukan hanya tinggi gula. Bobanya atau bubble-nya sudah terbuat dari tepung yang merupakan sumber karbohidrat.

“One should reduce sugar levels by asking for less sugar so that the portion of sugar is not as much as the standard. There are also those using artificial sweeteners,” said Dwi.

Bubble tea does not only have high sugar. The bubble or the pearl itself is already made from flour which is a source of carbohydrates.
