MENYIASATI AGAR ANAK MAU MAKAN LEBIH SEHATTO MAKE CHILDREN TO EAT HEALTHY FOOD

Langkah-langkah tersebut ternyata hanya berhasil diterapkan pada orang dewasa, namun gagal pada anak-anak. Temuan studi ini baru dipublikasikan dalam BMC Research Notes. Peneliti melakukan survei pada 15 anak dengan rentang usia 6-8 tahun.

Separuh dari anak-anak diberi makanan berupa irisan apel, separuh lainnya diberi kentang goreng. Hasilnya, anak-anak yang disajikan irisan apel rata-rata meminta bertukar makanan dengan anak-anak yang mendapatkan kentang goreng.

Studi serupa dilakukan pada beberapa hari berikutnya dan hasilnya 86,7 persen anak-anak lebih memilih diberikan kentang goreng ketimbang irisan apel dan buah lainnya.

Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa makanan, seperti kentang goreng di restoran cepat saji atau daging merah di meja prasmanan sangat disukai anak-anak. Ini adalah dua menu standar yang hampir selalu ada di setiap tempat makan.

“Kita bisa mengakalinya dengan menyajikan keduanya sekaligus. Anak-anak tetap mendapatkan makanan favorit mereka (kentang goreng), namun tetap bisa makan apel,” jelas penulis buku ‘Slim by Design Mindless Eating Solutions for Everyday Life,’ Brian Wansink, dilansir dari Medical News Today.

Makanan-makanan bergizi dan kaya nutrisi juga perlu disajikan dalam kemasan dan bentuk lebih menarik. Ini akan meningkatkan selera dan pilihan makanan anak-anak sehingga kebutuhan gizinya tetap tercukupi.
