USE OF MSG ON THE FOOD

Numerous studies show that MSG has no negative effects on the central nervous system of the brain. Monosodium glutamate (MSG) or commonly referred to as Micin (MSG called in indonesia)  is a salt form of glutamate acid. Micin is commonly used as a flavor enhancer in almost all processed foods. However, it turns out that the human body naturally also has glutamate acid and in some foods there are also glutamate acids naturally as in tomatoes and cheese.

MSG is derived from the amino acid glutamate or glutamate acid which is one form of amino acids. Glutamate is one of the non-essential amino acids which means the human body can produce it. MSG is safe to use as an additive to food, however, with a reasonable dose.

MSG is the most commonly used as food additive. The American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology states that MSG is not an allergen.

Numerous studies show that MSG has no negative effects on the central nervous system of the brain. MSG has its own dose where when food plus too much MSG will cause the taste of food reduced its delicacy.

According to the study, there was no association between MSG consumption and weight gain even in people taking high doses of MSG.

MSG is basically safe to use at a reasonable amount. At high doses such as consumption as much as 6-30 times as average daily dose can cause disturbance or damage. In some people who have complaints after MSG consumption, it is necessary to avoid the consumption of MSG. But in people who feel fine after consuming, then can still consume them.

MSG is commonly found in fast food or processed foods. If a person is doing a healthy lifestyle by consuming healthy foods, then the consumption of MSG will be reduced automatically.
